The Leeds Night Time Economy Group (LNEG) is an organisation dedicated to supporting, promoting, and enhancing Leeds’ night-time economy. The group works to create a safe, vibrant, and sustainable environment for businesses, workers, artists, residents, and visitors involved in the city’s nightlife and cultural sectors.

LNEG aims to:

• Support collaboration across Leeds’ night-time economy
• Create dialogue between venues, operators, and local authorities
• Advocate for the needs of the sector
• Promote the cultural and economic value of nightlife
• Help shape Leeds’ long-term night-time strategy
• Encourage safer city-centre environments through partnerships and training initiatives

Membership is open to a wide range of individuals and organisations involved in the night-time economy, including:
• Live music venues

• Suppliers
• Industry staff such as bar staff, security, technicians, and operations teams

Yes. Membership is currently free, with operational costs covered through sponsorship and external funding.

As the organisation grows, different membership tiers or paid options may be introduced in the future. Any changes would be approved by the Executive Committee.

Members can vote on key matters at the AGM and certain meetings. Constitutional amendments require a two-thirds majority vote from members present.
