James Abbott-Donnelly

Spokesperson

James has spent over 20 years working across Leeds’ nightlife and creative scene, from starting out as a club photographer to co-founding Sheaf St and later TESTBED. Now Managing Director and co-owner of TESTBED, he is also a co-founder of LNEG, working to champion and support Leeds’ night-time economy.

Marianne Springham

Marianne has worked across Leeds’ creative and cultural industries with a background spanning arts education, community projects, events and live production. After two decades at Leeds Arts University, she moved into the events industry and is now a Director of Audioserv. Marianne is also a co-founder of LNEG, bringing her experience of Leeds’ creative and events sectors to the group.

Darren Gibbins

Darren has been part of Leeds’ electronic music and nightlife scene for many years, working as a music producer and club DJ with SUBVISIONS, as well as a Director and radio presenter at LDC Radio. He is also a Director and events producer with Weekdayoffender and a committee member of LNEG, bringing experience across music, radio, events and club culture.

Treasurer

Stu has over 18 years’ experience across the events, festivals and hospitality industries. His career spans major UK and international festivals including Snowbombing, Field Day, Hideout and Lost & Found, alongside co-founding Leeds’ Chow Down and directing New Citizens. A committee member of LNEG, Stu brings extensive experience in event production, operations and developing large-scale cultural projects.

All positions within LNEG, including the Executive Committee, are entirely voluntary. Everyone involved gives their time alongside their own careers, businesses and other responsibilities.
