LNEG

Who WE ARE

Leeds Night Time Economy Group (LNEG) is an independent, volunteer-led organisation representing the people, places and culture that shape Leeds after dark. Established by those working within the sector, LNEG brings together venues, promoters, artists, suppliers and industry professionals to form a connected and supportive network.

Our purpose is to promote, support and enhance Leeds’ night time economy, helping to create a safe, vibrant and sustainable environment for businesses, residents and visitors. We work collectively to share knowledge, strengthen relationships and represent the sector’s interests, particularly within areas such as late night culture and electronic music that have historically been underrepresented.

LNEG is a Community Interest Company, reinforcing its long-term commitment to public benefit and sector support.

OUR VISION

Leeds has a rich and influential night-time economy, but it faces growing challenges. Rising costs, regulatory pressures and shifting public perception continue to impact operators, while a lack of coordinated representation has left parts of the sector, particularly late-night and electronic music, underrepresented and undervalued.

LNEG was set up to address this, creating stronger connections across the industry while building a more informed, collaborative relationship with local authorities, licensing bodies and stakeholders. Our aim is to ensure nightlife is recognised not only as entertainment, but as a vital cultural, social and economic force within the city.
